Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt, to taste

Important Recipe Tips

If you can’t find chipotle peppers in adobo, you can substitute with 1 teaspoon of ground chipotle powder. For a stronger flavor, simply add a bit more and blend again.

Blend the Ingredients

In a food processor, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, chipotle peppers with a spoonful of adobo sauce, lime juice, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt.

Process Until Smooth

Blend the mixture until it becomes smooth and creamy. You may need to scrape down the sides of the bowl to ensure an even consistency.

Taste and Adjust

Sample the sauce and adjust the flavor with more lime juice or salt if necessary. Serve immediately or refrigerate until use.
