White Chocolate Chip Cookies

These are chewy, bakery-style white chocolate chip cookies made with melted butter. The dough requires at least an hour of chilling time, which is critical for the final texture. This recipe makes about two dozen cookies.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Cornstarch
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 1 1/2 sticks Unsalted Butter
  • 1 cup Light Brown Sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Large Egg + 1 Large Egg Yolk
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 cups White Chocolate Chips

Instructions

  • Whisk flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt in medium bowl.
  • Melt butter in large bowl, let cool slightly.
  • Whisk brown sugar and granulated sugar into melted butter.
  • Add egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract; whisk until smooth and glossy.
  • Fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
  • Fold in white chocolate chips.
  • Cover and chill dough for 1 hour.
  • Preheat oven to 350F and line baking sheets with parchment.
  • Scoop 2-tablespoon dough balls onto sheets, spaced apart.
  • Bake 10-12 minutes until edges are golden but centers soft.
  • Cool on baking sheet 5-10 minutes before transferring to wire rack.

Notes

Chilling dough is mandatory to prevent spreading and to enhance flavor.
