Ingredients
- 16 oz (1 pound) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup cayenne hot sauce (such as Frank’s Original)
- 2 pounds rotisserie chicken, skin and bones removed, shredded into chunks (about 3 cups)
- 1 cup buttermilk ranch dressing
- 3/4 cup crumbled blue cheese
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 scallions, thinly sliced
Preparation Notes
For a 2-quart baking dish, extend the bake time to 45 minutes.
Steps to Cook
First, place your oven rack in the middle position. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
In a medium-sized bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and hot sauce. Microwave this mixture for about 2 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the cream cheese is very soft.
Whisk the mixture until it’s smooth with no lumps. Next, stir in the shredded chicken, ranch dressing, blue cheese, and Worcestershire sauce until well mixed. It’s okay if there are small bits of blue cheese.
Transfer the dip to a shallow 3-quart baking dish. Bake it for 10 minutes.
Remove the dish from the oven, give it a good stir, and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top. Put the dish back in the oven and continue baking until the cheddar is melted and the dip is bubbly around the edges, about 10 more minutes.
Finally, top with the sliced scallions and serve with chips, carrots, and celery.
