Homemade Pizza Dough

Pizza Dough with a mild, earthy aroma of oregano and a hint of garlic, resulting in a chewy, airy texture perfect for any topping.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups bread flour
  • 2 tablespoons bread flour
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3/4 cup warm water about 110°F
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  • In a food processor, pulse flour, yeast, oregano, garlic powder, and salt about five times.
  • With machine running, gradually add olive oil and warm water until a rough dough ball forms, 30-40 seconds.
  • Rest dough for 2 minutes, then process again for 30 seconds. If sticky, add more flour.
  • Knead dough on a floured surface until smooth and round, about 1 minute.
  • Transfer to a greased bowl, cover tightly with greased plastic wrap. Let rise until doubled, 1-1.5 hours or refrigerate 8-16 hours.
  • Preheat oven to 450°F (convection bake if available).
  • Top dough with pizza sauce, low-moisture cheese, and desired toppings.
